If you’re planning or contemplating the idea of doing a juice cleanse (or if you’re in the middle of one 😉 you should def check out this cool article published by MSN Healthy Living, “10 tips for doing a juice cleanse healthily“.

On the subject of supplements, generally speaking I have to say I’m not a big proponent. I only use and recommend two plant-based detox support items: psillium husk and cascara sagrada in addition to bentonite clay. I discuss this in more details in the post referenced in the MSN Healthy Living article: “Juicing Q&A: How to help the liver & colon eliminate more effectively?“. The necessity for supplementation for vegans (or lack thereof) is a highly controversial topic and Vitamin B12 supplementation especially is a heated debate. As you now know, I’m not one to particularly care to jump on the controversial bandwagon or attempt to convince others to do as I do. I only care to share my own experience in an effort to encourage you to take things into your own hands and discover your own truths.
Personally I don’t buy fear-based generalized statements of any kind. I’ve been thriving on a vegan lifestyle for most of my life and on a raw vegan lifestyle for 7-8 years without the need and/or desire to take any “supplements” other than the ones mentioned above. As I’ve said before, I do incorporate into my “diet” a handful of superfoods such as bee products (bee pollen and royal jelly especially), sea vegetables and spirulina. And that’s pretty much it. Vitamin supplements (especially in synthetic form) aren’t something I personally choose to intake.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on bentonite clay.
Hope you would incorporate natural skin tips too!
Dry skin brushing and clay masks are mentioned. They’re quite wonderful!
I have been in and out with my juice cleanse. The longest I’ve gone is 3 days lol. And you – 90 days – whoa! I admire you Ndoema! It takes a strong woman to say no to all the sugar in the world haha!
It does take determination but the rewards are plentiful! Plus awesome sugar from fruit is marvelous! xo
You deserve the recognition Ndoema ♥
Sweet ;)) xo
You deserve the monicker juice-cleanse superstar! You are not like those people who just read about stuff and publish them on the internet like they are an authority in it. You have actually tried and tested everything you say. That sets you apart from the rest 🙂
Aww! Thanks so much 😉
I can’t imagine touting or talking about things I haven’t experienced firsthand. I don’t see much value in that. In all things, health and beauty related especially, walking the talk is the only way. xoxo
Superstar in everything!
Sooo sweet 😉 xo
You really are an authority in all things juicing!
I loooove juicing most of all! It’s transformed my life!
