In exactly 15 days, I will have completed my third 92-day juice fast! Another amazing milestone in my health, wellness and beauty journey. I have to say I’m getting anxious to get back to crafting (and eating) decadently healthy raw food recipes and at the same time I’m super excited to witness the new life transforming gifts the last three months of juice fasting are going to manifest into my life.
In a spirit of celebration, I’m sharing one of my fave juice recipes for super glowing skin and all-around beauty.
Brimming with fab skin enhancing and liver cleansing beta-carotene (carrot’s trademark vibrant orange pigment that’s converted by the human body into vitamin A), collagen promoting vitamin C from the delicious oranges, and a dash of detox and circulation enhancing ginger root, this is one healthy brew that hits the beauty jackpot. And it’s super delish too!
- 5 large organic carrots (peeled)
- 5 large organic oranges (peeled)
- 1 inch of fresh organic ginger root (peeled)
- 1 organic lemon (peeled)
Since carrot juice is the most advocated healing juice by my all-time raw food and juicing champion, Norman Walker (if you haven’t yet read Fresh Vegetable and Fruit Juices, you definitely should), I’ll make it a double celebration in honor of the man who inspired me to take the most radically life-altering and health-enhancing decisions I’ve ever made.
Noteworthy: 8 oz of carrot juice contains as much as 800% of your daily recommended intake of vitamin A! Vitamin A is essential for tissue growth, gorgeous skin, good vision, healthy bones and a strong immune system however taking big doses of vitamin A can be toxic, especially taken in supplement form. Organic sources of vitamin A (from fresh fruits and vegetables) is the best and safest source of vitamin A since the body only converts as much vitamin A from beta-carotene as it needs.
So juice your carrots, glow and Merci Mr Walker!

Hello,
First of all, I’d like to thank you for the awesome recipes that you’re sharing on your website and also for all the advices you’re giving.
I’m a 19 years old french girl (sorry for my approximative English), and I’m a beginner with just fast and meditation.
I’d like to know if the recipe you’re giving is for one entire day of juice fast? And then, if you’re making your juices for the entire day? Because I really don’t know how much juice I should drink and I’m worry about the efficacy of the juice if I’m preparing it the morning for the evening…
Also, I’d like to ask you if you consider fresh vegetable milks made with soacked almonds, cashews, buckweat… as juices ? Or in other words, is it appropriate to drink it while doing a juice fast?
Thank you very much for your attention!
I’m waiting for your answer with impatience!

Wanna try this but I have no juicer. I do have a blender though. I wonder if the taste would be different?
Simply strain the mixture using a cheesecloth and voila! It will taste the same 😉
