Photographed in Luxor, Egypt at The Sofitel Winter Palace, in partnership with Sofitel Luxury Hotels.
Luxor’s magnificent East Bank is home to two spectacular sacred sites (the Karnak and Luxor temples), and an opulent 19th century palatial hotel perched on the Nile river amid lush tropical gardens.
When in Luxor, The Sofitel Winter Palace is decidedly the place to be. Its sumptuous suites with sweeping views of the Nile and Valley of the Kings have hosted an impressive list of illustrious guests (I could hardly contain myself when my eye caught an autographed portrait of French superstar Jean-Paul Belmondo on one of the hallway walls to the hotel’s iconic 1886 restaurant… yep I’m a Frenchie alright ;). Fangirling aside, I was absolutely charmed by the tranquility and old-world beauty of this sumptuous colonial-era luxury resort. From strolling through its sprawling botanical gardens, to bird watching and pool lounging, I savored every minute of my stay at this legendary oasis.
