Are the chickpeas suppose to be cooked first or is it 2 cups of dried chickpeas?
Hi Stacy,
The chickpeas aren’t cooked since this is a raw recipe. They are simply soaked overnight. Make sure you rinse them well before using them in the recipe.
It’s also wonderful to sprout the chickpeas (if you have the patience to wait for a few more days). You soak them overnight first, then rinse them the next day and let them sprout for 3 or 4 days (rinse daily). It makes them more digestible and nutritionally rich.
