There’s something about red hot accessories. They turn just about anything into a statement making look.
Now talking about statement making accessories, can you believe this mondo fish scale leather necklace? It’s by Japanese jewelry designer Ayaka Nishi. I love her bold, nature inspired creations. I donned her human cell inspired Thai gold and diamond cuff to the Son Jung Wan Spring 2014 fashion show (you can take a closer look here and check out Cindy Ord’s photographs for Zimbio here). And I rocked her spine and bone inspired choker and bracelet set on day 1 of New York Fashion Week (you can take a closer look here. It’s also been captured by the talented Youngjun Koo for New York Magazine’s The Cut, Steve Eichner for Women’s Wear Daily, Jonathan Paciullo aka FrenchyStyle for Glamour Paris, Maria Santana for CNN Español, Dario Calmese for Fashion Bomb Daily and Keith Morrison for Stylelist.)
I adore Ayaka’s daring and playful aesthetic, and thought her fabulous creation would feel right at home with this whimsical vintage cutout dress. I finished up the look with Miu Miu patent leather peep-toe pumps, Onna Ehrlich’s Andi handbag in red and a crimson pout.
