I was heading to this serene place not quite expecting the strong connection I now feel for this magical Balinese sacred site.
After bidding Canggu Beach farewell and settling in peaceful Ubud, I planned a very special pilgrimage to the thousand year old Holy Springs of Tirta Empul and it was absolutely incredible. The highlight of my stay in Bali.
I woke up at the crack of dawn and took a beautiful ride through the rice paddy fields as the sun was gloriously rising on the horizon. I was heading to this serene place knowing of its special significance to the Balinese people who come here for purification and blessings but not quite expecting the strong connection and love I feel for this magical Balinese sacred site.

Is this a public place? Seems so serene. I could feel the peace. Hope this place isn’t hard to find. Would love to go there.
I wanna go to Tirta Empul too! It’s amazing how they were able to build that network of water ways like that a thousand years ago!
