Some Like It Dot

I suddenly felt the inexplicable urge to don the polka dot look. It’s not exactly a common occurrence for me. Might be because I’ve been spending quite a bit of time connecting the dots lately. I’m talking figuring out the interconnection between quantum mechanics, the geometry of hyperspace, structured water and quantum biology, the unified theory… Yep, I live a parallel life as an amateur quantum physicist (I know. I know… Never judge a book by its cover as they say). At any rate, this delicate polka dot silk shirt is one of two lonely items of polka dot clothing lying around in my over-stuffed closet (the other one is a strapless tulle cocktail dress I bought years ago and I’ve yet to wear). Somehow, polka dots don’t seem the be first thing I go for when styling a look. Might be because of their overly retro and classic feel? Yet there’s also a whimsical and fun side to polka dots I find increasingly appealing. A sort of a stylish wink, a reminder that fashion shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
