We shot this dreamy series right before I hopped on a plane to New York to attend Fashion Week. And I was soon to discover that dream was in the air at the shows this season. From Monika Chiang, whose collection was inspired by a recurring flying dream she’s had for years, to Tadashi Shoji‘s dreamy feather and lace gowns, to Japanese-born designer Hanako Maeda’s urban fairy-tale debut collection (coming soon). I must have unknowingly been swept in that whirlwind of magic and mystery!
I was looking for just the right blouse to pair with a gold Diane Von Furstenberg mini skirt I’d re-disovered while attempting to reorganize my closet, when I came across this gorgeous vintage gold metallic lace blouse. And I was in for a surprise. This unassuming little top exuded mega-watt star quality when captured by Phillip’s magnificent eye. I’d intended to feature the gorgeous skirt and festive glitter Betsey Johnson pumps but these glimmering close-ups ended up stealing the show.
