Another peek on the set of SECOND CHANCE, our upcoming fashion film that’ll soon kickstart The Global Girl Fashion Cinema Series.

You will – no doubt – remember this megawatt silver sequin halter mermaid dress by Australian designer Rachel Gilbert. After a series of screen tests that proved most conclusive (see for yourself this stunner glimmering like magic amidst the sleek and sultry Thompson Beverly Hills penthouse), we decided to take it to the gorge hotel’s rooftop for the film’s iconic poolside scene. I loooved shooting this scene (well to tell the truth the entire shoot was a treat, felt more like a dream vacation than your typical grueling film shoot). Though I didn’t get to take a dive in the pool (Colin, my handsome co-star, was the only one in on all the aquatic action) I certainly got my fair share of glam sunbathing and leisure living.

In this scene we wanted to capture the quintessential elegant Southern California lifestyle. Lounging by a coral blue pool, under a cloudless sky, in über luxe surroundings with that “away from it all” uninterrupted view of the city. Well, the sexy Thompson Beverly Hills rooftop pool certainly hit all the marks.

Shooting this scene felt like a magical moment suspended in time.
