Amidst the glamorous (and at times a tad surreal) whirlwind that is Fashion Week – the lights, the music, the megawatt clothes, the stunning models and exclusive attendees that make the fashionable bi-annual gathering a dream world of sort – I also get to experience, between the flashing bulbs, some very real and deeply touching moments with fans and friends that have gathered outside the tents to join in the festivities. Saying that I cherish those heart to heart encounters would be an understatement. Because at the end of the day, what could be more gratifying than the simple joy of knowing that somehow you’ve touched someone’s life in a meaningful way.
