I caught myself zeroing in on floral print way above average lately. There’s something super feminine and romantic yet bold and graphic about floral print I really love. So naturally my eyes popped out when I came across this bold pants ensemble and that elegant peplum top while perusing the Fall 2013 lookbook for S.I.L.K., the brainchild of Hong-Kong born and NYC-based designer Michele Lee (her delicate silk and satin fabrics are simply divine). And I jumped at the opportunity to get my very own “Flower Power” moment.
There are basically two ways to wear floral print, the classic head-to-toe look for the bold at heart (are you talking to me?! đ or, if you’re fearing a case of floral overdose, by breaking it up and combining a floral top with a solid bottom (or vice versa). I had it both ways for the occasion and I love them equally. The full flower head-to-toe look with a pair of Miu Miu red patent leather pointed-toe pumps to match my vibrant red lip (yes, I’m unabashedly partial to a red lip). The more subdued yet sophisticated floral peplum top styled with a romantic pair of Miu Miu bow high-heeled sandals and G-Star Raw skinny jeans to amp up the edge a notch. Et voilĂ ! You’ve got the recipe for your own stylish “Flower Power” stance. Peace & Love.

I’d wear both! One’s loud while the other’s more simple.

Luvin’ the head-to-toe look! It makes a statement! Not your usual boring floral pieces
My personal fave is the floral top with skinny jeans, I prefer a more subdued floral getup.

You sure know how to liven up floral attire pieces!
