I had loads of fun fashion globe-trotting during New York Fashion Week last september. I hadn’t really realized until the time came to review my photographic NYC diary, but I did quite a bit of continent hopping when styling my looks for the shows. I brought some latin swag to the Big Apple sporting an edgy deconstructed garb by Mexican designer Cesar Arellanes. Some Russian romance with a gorge Alexander Terekhov oversized ruffle dress. A dash of Tibetan mythology with this custom demon belt (designed by yours truly) and of course a host of fabulous European designers I adore. Among them, I must say, Turkish-born and UK-based designer Hakaan Yildirim took the cake. The moment I laid eyes on this pair of dramatic skirt pants (with train to boot) I got into a trance. You all know by now, I’m a statement kinda girl and these pants beyond hit the jackpot on about everything I love: bold, clean, graphic, feminine yet strong… One of those iconic pieces that sum you up at a glance.
Pants skirt by Hakaan, patent leather wedges by Charles Jourdan, vintage peplum bustier top and zipper clutch by Karen Millen.
