With my Florentine apartment nestled in the Historic Center of Florence, a mere 1 minute walk to the Uffizi Gallery – I wasted no time to pay a visit to what is arguably one of the most prominent Art museums in the World.
Judging by the lines of eager Art lovers stretching all the way to my doorsteps, my expectations were high and Uffizi more than delivered on the promise.
The famed Gallery is home to priceless collections of ancient sculptures and paintings from the Middle Ages to the Modern period. It’s nothing less than a feast to the eyes.
Highlights: The Birth of Venus by Botticelli, the chiaroscuro paintings of Caravaggio, and of course Leonardo Da Vinci’s Annunciation and his massive unfinished Masterpiece.
