Delicious. Healthy. Uber Quickie. (60 sec max). This fat-free raw vegan strawberry ice cream doesn’t require any over-the-top mondo equipment. A simple food processor does the trick. Mix equal amounts of organic bananas (frozen if you’re going for the creamy ice cream consistency) and strawberries… and voilà!
I’m not what you’d call a banana fan. In fact for many years I used to HATE them. Even the simple smell of them would give me a nagging headache. The strange thing is a few months following my first 92-day juice fast, I was attending a meditation retreat and as a special treat we were offered frozen banana/orange juice smoothie. I don’t know if it was the sensory deprivation (we were meditating ten hours a day in complete silence) but everybody was going bananas over it so I decided to try and join in the fun. Before I knew it I’d cleaned up my bowl and was clamoring for more. Weird… Be warned. You never know what kind of juicing aftermath symptoms you may develop!
